Rekindling The Fire
The phenomenon of light manifests itself everywhere. It’s there in the colours shimmering in the glass beads and shining in each silver wire. Working with fire, the glass becomes liquid and the silver softens and fuses together. This process delights my senses and connects me to the elemental beginnings of life. The dancing flame reminds me that there is magic, joy, and light within us all. Like twinkling stars, we shine and reflect our individual light

I have always been attracted to the sparkle and shine of precious metals. At university, I studied fine metals and have taught and taken a wide variety of classes. I discovered glass beads when I wanted to add more dazzle to my handmade silver chains. My first lampwork class was in 2001 and I became instantly drawn to the colors, the process and the endless possibilities that this medium possesses. I have taken classes from:
