Last day of July, and the garden is full of shades of pink, purple and orange. Not my familiar palette of blue so it's all about change, risk taking and allowing space for playfulness.

Working with colors that tend to blend into each other for a soft watercolor or batik feel with some crackle inside the color similar to the lines left by wax in batik. The reds are always a challenge as they can go toward the black side if you are not careful with the heat. Love the read single bead with the lace white look the light ivory left along the edge. CIM Electric blue and Kryptonite are a fun combination if you are looking for soft edges and color bleed. Single beads are available at my studio or send an e-mail with your choice preferences.
From soaking wet to dangerously dry in a matter of weeks, we need to pay attention to ways to improve climate change!! Meanwhile I am making beads to reflect heat, water, sun and sand. I'm also doing lots of custom orders and teaching so it is very busy in the studio this time of year.
