So much water in the creek, lake and rivers, mother nature is generating lots of attention here. I have been using different types and colors of glass to get interesting chemical reactions and patterns. Lots to remember when it comes to these glass combinations and temperature settings.

Still so much water, the creek is loud, fast and strong. Meanwhile I am going with the flow, finding colors, shapes and textures of glass to capture the feeling of it all. So much going on here in my studio with the sound of the creek dominating the landscape. I even have some early pink primrose poking up.
A few sunny days has helped with the wet funk that has been here for way too long. The creek is gushing and lake levels rising daily. Lots to see if water is what your'e looking for.
Wax Mono Print Notecards by Diana Carr and Felted Eggs by Leah Carnahan are the latest in the Cabin Fever Reliever Series I created for CLAAS (Christina Lake Arts and Artisans Society) at the Arts on 3 Gallery at the Christina Lake Welcome Centre. It's a series of free sampler workshops for the public to try a variety of different mediums taught by local instructors. It has been such a great way to get out and let our inner artist play in the cold and grey that has hovered over this landscape for most of the winter and early spring.
Yay there's bare sand on the beach, but the lake is still frozen with pretty shoreline patterns. I just had to take the beads out in the sun for the sparkle and shine. I Love these pics of my Beachy Necklace in a Paua (Abalone) shell as the colors are so similar. This necklace is featured in the current issue of The Flow Magazine.
